A look behind the scenes
If you want to understand Attila, here you can learn about the crew, the region, the partners, and the special places along the route.
Nature, Technology, and Responsibility on the MS Attila
In an interview, René told us what he particularly likes about his work as captain and where he sees parallels with his hobby, beekeeping.
MS Jura – the adventure ship and its connection to the world of Attila
Most guests on the Attila have crossed a special ship on their journey across the three lakes: the MS Jura. Formerly a modern passenger ship, it has now been offering trips with overnight accommodation for almost 30 years. Most of the guests are school classes, institutions for the disabled, various themed camps or private individuals. As the MS Jura project is not self-supporting, sponsors and patrons are always very welcome! We met the skipper David Weber and talked to him about the project.
St. Peter's Island – a special place on an Attila Cruise
He works in one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland. Bruno Marthaler, Managing Director of the St. Petersinsel restaurant and monastery hotel. The natural paradise with its own organic farm and vines invites you to relax, discover and enjoy. As a guest of the Attila Boutique Boatel, you can enjoy an unforgettable stay on the island on Lake Biel.
The Power of Light – Ambience on Board and on the Lakes
Sitting in the offices of atelier oï in La Neuveville, you can see across Lake Biel, the Seeland and the 3-Lakes region to the Alps, which form an almost unreal horizon on a clear day. From these rooms, which once belonged to a motel, around 40 creative minds create design, architecture and art projects for clients from all over the world. And are now involved in an extraordinary project in the immediate region: the Attila Boutique Boatel.
The Lake District at the Heart – Traveling Among Water, Wine, and Nature
Bank CIC has been supporting the Attila Boutique Boatel project since the very beginning. Not only for economic reasons, but also because the two project managers Pierre Kammermann and Davide Castrini have taken the Seeland region to their hearts. CIC Bank employees in particular should also be able to benefit from the partnership with Attila. A conversation about finances, childhood memories and the immense anticipation.
Regional Beverages and Culinary Delights Aboard the MS Attila
As is well known, the Aare has its source in the Bernese Oberland and flows through a beautiful area into Lake Biel. The beer that guests on the Attila will drink on Lake Biel also comes from the Oberland. The traditional brewery Rugenbräu is a partner of the Attila Boutique Boatel with its beer of the same name and distillates from the Rugen Distillery. The anticipation is huge, as Managing Director Remo Kobluk emphasizes in an interview.
The Attila Lounge – Arrive, relax, and feel right at home on the water
The Hotel Bad Murtensee is the home base of the Attila Boutique Boatel. If you set off on a 6-day cruise across the three Jura lakes, you check in at the hotel on the shores of Lake Murten. The journey starts and ends at the historic hotel, which stands out with its proximity to the lake, renovated rooms, excellent cuisine and beach house with lake access. And the new Attila Lounge, which will be opening soon. An interview with Marcel Jörg, owner of the Hotel Bad Murtensee.
